Our Story

Mindy Rives is the creator and founder of Advent Prep Club. She is wife to Josh and mama to Lucy (13), June (11) and Ruby (6). A self-proclaimed Christmas fanatic, Mindy began the Rives family Advent activity calendar in 2012 to build tradition, make the Christmas season linger, and create a meaningful, memorable, FUN and Christ-centered holiday experience for her family.

A little “seed of an idea” that was planted in her heart and mind in 2011 has grown into a movement that many families have adopted into their Christmas traditions and rhythms. She hopes Advent Prep Club makes the Advent activity calendar planning process accessible, easy, seamless and enjoyable for the seasoned Advent activity calendar mom, or the mom who has wanted to try it but isn’t quite sure where to start or how to make the Advent magic happen!
